God is Pursuing You and it is Intentional

During one of my worship sessions, the song Reckless Love was playing. At the end of the song, they sing "you're coming after me and you won't stop". As I reflected on my worship time, I realized I had looked at that song as only being about God chasing after those that don't believe in Him. I was wrong. The singer put things into perspective for me with just that one verse.

God's pursuit after us is intentional. The song says God will chase us down, fight until we're found, and leave the 99. If there are 100 people in a group and you stray away, God's going to leave the 99 to chase after you because you're just that significant. Most of the time when we have 100 of something and we lose 1, it's not a big deal to us but to God you are. Every person is significant to God, whether they believe or not. He wants to save the unsaved. In Matthew 9:11 when the Pharisees asked the disciples why Jesus ate with publicans and sinners, Jesus replied with "They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick" (v12). For those that are saved, He wants to continue to commune with you and teach you and do a work in you. In Paul's letter to the Philippians, he reminds them in verse 6 that, "he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ".

This is a continuous pursuit that is INTENTIONAL. No matter who you are, you have a purpose. You are significant. God loves you and He's pursuing you.

God has everything we need and He's constantly intentionally pursuing us to tell us that He has all the resources we need.

I hope this has been an inspirational seed for your soul 🌼

Speak the Word

One day I was sitting in my prayer room talking with God about how I felt about something. I can't even remember what I was probably rambling about at this point but I have the message that followed still written on my dry erase board. It says, "Instead of speaking how you feel, speak what God actually said, speak His Word. If you don't have a Word, then call on His name. There is power in the name of Jesus....to break every chain!" This hit me like a ton of bricks and my perspective and mood immediately shifted as if I was just realizing this for the first time. Understanding this freed me from the captivity of my thoughts and feelings within that moment about that specific issue. I literally snapped out of it. God doesn't mind when we vent but if we're being honest, we know sometimes we've talked to God about that same thing a million times and each time our feelings haven't changed. Let's grow from that and start to declare the Word of God over ...
